The International Max Planck Research School is offering a Ph.D. program for young, talented, and ambitious researchers to start an academic career in life sciences. Applications are encouraged from extraordinarily talented and motivated Ph.D. candidates of all nationalities. Interdisciplinary is valued, and students with backgrounds in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Engineering willing to work with Biologists are encouraged to apply.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have obtained or expected to get before the start of their Ph.D. a University Master’s Degree in (or a related field) Biology, Biochemistry, Life Science, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Medicine.
- Language Requirements: the Ph.D. program in English; hence, a good command of spoken and written English is mandatory. Formal proof of English proficiency (such as TOEFL and IELTS) is not mandatory but recommended. Knowledge of German is not required, but international students will be offered the opportunity to attend German language classes.
