General Introduction
The Lee Laboratory at Pusan National University is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research scientist to join the laboratory team at Chemical Biology Laboratory.
The selected candidate will engage in cutting-edge research in the fields of organic chemistry, chemical biology, or biochemistry, contributing to our ongoing efforts to advance scientific knowledge and innovation.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Design, and synthesize bioactive small molecules or peptidic molecules.
- Chemical modification with bioactive small molecules to enhance potency.
- Testing the molecules with biochemical assays.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers and interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
- Present research findings through internal seminars and external conferences.
- Contribute to the mentorship and guidance of junior lab members.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A PhD degree in Chemical biology, Organic chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong background in organic chemistry(synthesis) and/or biochemistry techniques.
- Proven track record of scientific accomplishments such as publication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team.
