WiQO Postdoctoral Fellowship for Women (Quantum Optics)

The WiQO (Postdoc Program for Women in Quantum Optics) is offered by the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ) to promote the career of excellent early-stage female scientists to develop their aptitudes in the interdisciplinary field of quantum science.

About the program:

The program is open to excellent early-stage career female candidates and is available yearly. WiQO is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship offering a fixed-term employment contract with flexible working conditions.
The program also offers external professional coaching in a postdoc-specific career-building program.
The selected candidates will have opportunities to participate in seminars and training in project management, leadership qualifications, science communication, career planning, and work-life balance, entrepreneurship.
The program also offers support in the preparation and submission of research proposals.
WiQO shall provide childcare & reconciliation support.

Requirements:

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree not more than four years before the application deadline.
Candidates expecting a doctoral degree within a maximum of six months after the application deadline are also eligible to apply.
