The Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) under DST, Govt. of India invites applications for the Postdoctoral Fellowship programs (Regular Postdoctoral Fellowship, Postdoctoral Researcher, Aryabhatta Postdoctoral Fellowship) throughout the year.

Regular Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Qualification:

Applicant must hold a Doctoral degree from a recognized Indian or Foreign University or Institute in Astronomy & Astrophysics or Atmospheric Science.
The Age limit should not be more than 35 years.
Remuneration: For a fresh Ph.D. Rs 47,000/- per month; For a Ph.D. with 1-2 years of postdoc experience, Rs 49,000/-per month; and for a Ph.D. with more than two years of postdoc experience, Rs 54,000/- per month.
Duration: Initially for one year, renewable for a maximum of two more years.

Postdoctoral Researcher:
Requirements:

Applicants submitted their Doctoral thesis and anticipated the degree award in Astronomy & Astrophysics or Atmospheric Science.
Duration: maximum one year.
The age limit should be under the age of 35 years.
Remuneration: Rs 42,000/- per month, including medical facility and hostel accommodation.

Aryabhatta Postdoctoral Fellowship (APDF):
Number of positions of APDF: 2
Qualification:

Applicant must hold a Doctoral degree in Astronomy & Astrophysics or Atmospheric Science.
Age limit: not be more than 32 years of age.
Remuneration: Rs. 75000/- per month combined.
Nationality: Open to all nationalities
Duration: Initially for two years (may be extended to one more year)
Research Grant: Rs.5.0 lakhs per year.

Applications are to be submitted via the online portal. Include the following documents with the application:
Resume with publication list.
Summary of Ph.D. work (max. 1 page)
Research proposal (max. two pages)
Names of at least three researchers (one must be their thesis supervisor). One should be able to provide a recommendation letter for the candidate.

Applications are received yearly, and selections will be made twice a year.
