Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) is the initiation by the Government of Canada for top-notch skills and a high standard Ph.D. student at Canadian Universities. Scholarships are available in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, engineering, and health.
Number of scholarships: Up to 166 scholarships are awarded annually
Scholarship Value: $50,000 per year
Duration: 3 years (non-renewable)

Eligibility:
- Applications are open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and international candidates.
- Applicants must be nominated by the university/institute they want to study.
- Candidates cannot apply directly to the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program.
The Application process:
Individual application documents are to be submitted in either English or French. A complete Vanier CGS application package must include the following:
- Application form including two letters of reference
- CV
- Research Contributions (max one page)
- A Personal Leadership Statement (max two pages)
- Special Circumstances (max 0.5 pages, optional)
- Two Leadership letters of reference (maximum two pages)
- A Research Proposal (maximum two pages)
- Project References (maximum five pages)
- Transcripts
