The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) and the Simons Foundation support the Simons Centre for the Study of Living Machines. The center studies molecules, cells, and organisms as living machines: imperfectly optimized products of natural selection which consume energy to attain specific goals. The center’s research covers an extensive length and timescales, from protein function, evolution, and computational cell biology to the physics of active systems.
This postdoctoral program is open to outstandingly talented researchers. The researchers are expected to develop an independent research program with members of the Simons Centre. Applications are invited from candidates with a background in Theoretical Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science with a strong interest in Biology.
The applications are open internationally.
- Rs. 90,000/month and a Research Stipend of $5,000 per year
