Leipzig School of Human Origins (IMPRS): International PhD Program

This is a joint Ph.D. program of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (MPI-EVA) at the International Max Planck Research School "Leipzig School of Human Origins" (IMPRS LSHO) and the University of Leipzig (UL).

Requirements:

  1. Applications are invited from all countries (open to international candidates). 
  2. Applicant must have a Master's degree or an equivalent degree (German Diploma, M.Sc./M.A., or any other equivalent degrees that include four or more years of academic study, including an extensive original research project and a written. 
  3. Candidates with a B.Sc./B.A. degree are not eligible to apply even if their undergraduate program has four years of academic study and a written thesis.
  4. Candidates should have good at written and spoken English. German language skills are not mandatory, but international students will be offered opportunities to take German language courses.
