Admission to Ph.D., M.Tech. & MS (R) can be on a Full-time and Part-time basis, depending upon the availability of seats. For Sponsored/Part-Time candidates, the details of minimum experience (Full-Time) after the qualifying degree and as of the registration date are given in the Information Brochure.
M.Des. (4 Sem., FT only): Industrial Design
M.Sc. (4 Sem., FT only): Humanities and Social Sciences: (1) Cognitive Science (2) Economics
MPP (4 Sem., FT only): Master of Public Policy
Eligibility: For Ph.D./M.Tech./MS(R)/M.Des/MPP, a CGPA of 6.0 for a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent) in the qualifying degree. A relaxation in CGPA/marks to 0.5 (5%) is also available to those with M.A. Degree in English for admission to Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences. For Full-Time Ph.D. /M.Tech. /MS (R) program, the qualifying GATE/National Exam is required. For M.Des. Programme, a valid CEED score is required. For an M.Sc, a CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale or any equivalent or 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree). The GATE/ National Exam requirement is waived for some graduates/students from CFTIs. Please refer to the Information Brochure for detailed eligibility criteria and other information.
Application Procedure: Submission of Application is only online. Candidates are NOT required to send a hard copy of the application form and fee receipt. Online submission of the application form may be made by accessing the Institute website (see below). Candidates belonging to General/OBC/EWS categories must pay for each application form fee of Rs. 200/- (belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories must pay Rs.50/-). The candidate will bear the bank charges.
Financial Assistance or Scholarships are available for Full Time Ph.D./M.Tech./M.Des./MS (R)/ M.Sc/MPP Students as per details given in the Information Brochure. SC/ST/PwD students admitted to Postgraduate/Ph.D. Programs are exempted from payment of tuition fees. In addition, high-Value Assistantship is available in some M.Tech. Programs (3 years). Foreign nationals are not eligible to apply against this advertisement.
