The University of South Florida offers funded openings for Ph.D. students under PI Dr. Sarah (Ying) Zhong) in USF GREEN Lab. The Ph.D. students have a solid background in additive manufacturing, polymer science, cell biology, and neuroscience. The USF GREEN Lab intends to advance manufacturing techniques for energy efficiency and healthcare applications, with the target as benefiting society and the public with the power of science.
Requirements:
- Applicant must hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree background in mechanical engineering, material science, additive manufacturing, polymer science, cell biology, and neuroscience.
- Applicant must be capable of conducting research and leading and/or managing projects independently.
- Applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and good organizational and analytical abilities.
- Applicants having experience in additive manufacturing or stem cell differentiation will be given preference; experience in neuroscience will be a plus.
Start semester: Fall 2022 or Spring 2023.
