Inviting applications for filling up 04 (Four) posts of whole-time members in the National Monuments Authority
Applications are invited from eminent professionals with proven experience and expertise in the fields of Archaeology, Country and Town Planning, Architecture, Heritage, Conservation-Architecture, or Law for appointment as Whole-Time Members (04) of the National Monuments Authority (NMA).
General Information
- The Whole-Time Member should be eligible to draw salary in the Higher Administrative Grade along with other allowances as are admissible to an officer of the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
- The tenure of Whole-Time Member shall be three (03) years from the date on which he/she assumes office as such.
- Any person who has held any post in the Archaeological Survey of India or the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India or a State Government or has not been found fit to be considered for being appointed to any such position, will not be eligible to be appointed.
- Any person, who had either been granted permission or license or refused any such permission or refused the grant of license or any person or any of his/her relatives having any interest in a prohibited area or a regulated area shall not be eligible to be appointed as a Member. For this purpose, "relative" means:
i. Spouse of the Member of the NMA;
ii. Brother or sister of the Member of the NMA;
iii. Brother or sister of the spouse of the Member of the NMA;
iv. Brother or sister of either of the parents of the Member of the NMA.
v. Any lineal ascendant or descendant of the Member of the NMA.
vi. Any lineal ascendant or descendant of the spouse of the Member of the NMA;
vii. Spouse of the person referred to in clauses (ii) to (vi).
viii. The maximum age limit for appointment to the post of whole-time Member shall be 67 years and the retirement age shall be 70 years to the incumbent appointed to the said post.
ix. The person so appointed to the post of WTM shall be titled for CL/EL as applicable to serving government servants. However, he/she will not be entitled to LTC, leave encashment, medical allowance, government accommodation, etc.
The headquarters of the Whole Time Member will be National Monuments Authority, 24, Tilak Marg, New Delhi.
