Basic Pay – Rs. 67,700/-
Total Emoluments – Basic Pay+ DA+ HRA+TA and other admissible allowances applicable as per rule
Upper Age Limit – 32 years
Essential Educational Qualifications: BE/ B. Tech/ M. Sc. With a PG Degree in Intellectual property law (1st class or 60% on an aggregate or equivalent GPA) OR M. Tech. OR Ph.D. degree (Science/Engineering).
Desirable Qualification:
- Relevant experience in Quantitative Economics/Socio-economic impact studies/ Technology assessment and management/ technology forecasting and foresight studies/ Scientometrics and Undertaken studies in MSME/startups/ grassroots/frugal innovation, on traditional knowledge (TK) systems/healthcare systems/agriculture and rural development.
- MATLAB, Computer Programming, Mathematical modeling/Climate modeling/Data analytics using R/python
2. Senior Principal Scientist Group IV (5)

Basic Pay – Rs. 1, 31,100/-
Total Emoluments – Basic Pay+ DA+ HRA+TA and other admissible allowances applicable as per rule
Upper Age Limit – 50 years
Essential Educational Qualifications: - Ph.D. Science and six years experience OR Ph.D. degree in Engineering with six years of experience.
Desirable Qualification:
- Excellent command over written & spoken English, Experience in the following:
- Popular science writing/ editing/ reporting for magazines, newspapers, newsletters, books, etc., as evident from published documents,
- Managing science media production, Science communication/ outreach/ public engagement.

Benefits under Council service:
- These positions carry usual allowances, i.e., House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TA), etc., as permissible to central government employees and CSIR employees.
- Council employees are also eligible for accommodation per CSIR allotment regulations (depending on availability).
- Besides the emoluments indicated against each category of posts, benefits such as reimbursements of Medical Expenses, Leave Travel Concession, etc., are available per CSIR Rules.

Mode of Selection
- The fulfillment of prescribed educational qualifications and experiences does not entitle an applicant to be called for an interview.
