MTech. Admissions: Northeastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management (NERIWALM)
MTech. ADMISSION
The Institute started the admission process in MTech Programme on Water Resource Management (approved by AICTE and affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati) in its campus at Tezpur for the academic session 2023-24.

Language of instruction: English
Approved intake: 18 (Eighteen) on full time
Eligibility for Admission
- Candidates with any of the following academic qualifications are eligible to apply for admission to the MTech program in Water Resource Management:
- BE/B.Tech/AMIE in Civil/Agricultural Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates waiting for last semester BE/B.Tech/AMIE results in the above-mentioned branches may also apply but will have to submit the required documents within a stipulated period to be specified by the selection committee.
SCHOLARSHIP
- For sponsored candidates: No fellowship or financial assistance of any sort will be provided by the NERIWALM.
- For GATE-qualified Fresh Graduates: Seats shall be filled through GATE-qualified fresh graduates. These candidates may be considered for assistantship under regulations/ ordinances/rules of ASTU, Guwahati.
- The GATE-qualified candidates admitted to the AICTE-approved courses are eligible for a scholarship/stipend as per the AICTE norms and shall be required to apply to the AICTE portal. The Institute's decision in this regard shall be treated as final. The students can avail of the scholarship facilities from the respective states.

- List of shortlisted applicants for entrance exam – 21 July 2023
- Merit & waiting list for GATE qualified applicant – 25 July 2023
- Counseling/Admission on GATE qualified applicant – 27 July 2023
- Date of Entrance Examination – 28 July 2023
- (Valid ID proof to be submitted to appear entrance examination)
- Merit & waiting lists for selected applicants from entrance exam – 04 August 2023
- Counseling/Admission of entrance exam qualified applicants – 09 August 2023
Commencement of classes for the new session – As per ASTU notification

Important Instructions to Candidates:
- The hard/soft copy of the filled-in application form along with the supporting documents should reach at Director, Northeastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management (NLR1WALM), Tezpur - 784027, Assam on or before July 17, 2023. (mtechadmission.neriwalm@gmail.com)
- Candidate should submit the application form in the prescribed format along with tile necessary enclosures as mentioned above.
- Applications received after the stipulated date or found incomplete in any respect or not readable easily may not be entertained and no further correspondence in this regard may be made.
- Applications other than in prescribed performance may not be entertained.
- Candidates are suggested to furnish the correct information in the application form.
- Applications with incorrect information may be summarily rejected.
- Canvassing in any form may disqualify the candidature of the applicant.
The selected candidates must have to produce the original testimonials and certificates at the time of interview/counseling.
