The IISER Kolkata (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) was instituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, in 2006. Institute is inviting applications from Indian citizens for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor positions.

Remuneration:
- Assistant Professor Grade II: Pay Level 10 (the initial payment of Rs. 70,900/-).
- Assistant Professor Grade-I: Pay Level 12 (the initial payment of Rs. 1,01,500/-).
- Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2 (the initial payment of Rs. 1,39,600/-).
- Professor: Pay Level 14A (the initial payment of Rs. 1,59,100/-).
Requirements:
Assistant Professor Grade II:
- Applicant must hold a Doctoral degree with first class or equivalent at the previous degree in the relevant branch, with a brilliant academic record throughout.
Assistant Professor Grade-I:
- Applicant must possess a Doctoral degree with first class or equivalent at the previous degree in the relevant branch, with an outstanding academic record throughout with a minimum of three years of teaching, research, and industry experience, excluding the experience gained while pursuing a Ph.D.
Associate Professor:
- Applicant must hold Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the prior degree in the relevant branch, with a brilliant academic record throughout with at least six years of teaching, research, and industry experience, of which a minimum of three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or Senior Scientific Officer or Senior Design Engineer.
Professor:
- Applicant must hold a Doctoral degree with first class or equivalent at the prior degree in the relevant branch, with an excellent academic record throughout with at least ten years of teaching, research, and industry experience, of which a minimum of four years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai and IISERs.
