The International Max Planck Research School for Immunobiology, Epigenetics, and Metabolism (IMPRS-IEM) annually offers a joint international Ph.D. program. Doctoral researchers have 3 to 4 years to obtain a degree.

Requirements
- Applicants must have a Master’s/Diploma in Biology, Bioinformatics Biomedicine, Biochemistry, or related subject. Master’s/Diploma must be obtained before the start of the program.
- Applications are open to all excellent and highly motivated students of all nationalities with a passion for science.
- There is no application fee.
- The applicant is expected to have an outstanding academic record (GPA >80%, first or upper second-class degree, top 10% of students in a given year)
- Applicant must have practical lab experience of at least 4-6 months and must possess excellent English language skills (TOEFL/IELTS or equivalent certificate recommended -not required- if you are not a native speaker or did not complete your university education in an English-speaking country)
