GREEN Scholarships: Ph.D., Postdocs, and Visiting Scholars at the University of South Florida.

The GREEN Lab (known as Green Research for Energy-Efficient iNnovations) looks for candidates in advanced energy solutions, innovative materials and devices, 3D printing, space technology, and material characterization. The Openings are available to Ph.D., Postdocs, and visiting students or scholars.

Subject Areas: Bioengineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, and Computer Engineering.

Research Theme:

The research objectives of the Lab include the following:

1.   Advanced manufacturing of functional devices and 3D structures,
2.   Energy harvesting and saving solutions,
3.   Environmental-friendly disinfection techniques.

Applications are open to all nationalities.

Scholarship benefits: The fellowship cover both tuition and living expenses

Qualifications/Requirements:

Interested applicants should have a major Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-related fields, including but not limited to Bioengineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, and Computer Engineering.
The candidate should have a hands-on research experience in TEM, intelligent electronics, smart materials, MEMS, 3D printing, energy, heat conduction, DFT, MD, etc.
Good organizational and analytical abilities.
Selected candidates should be capable of conducting research and leading/managing projects independently.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) in English
Experience in the field of additive manufacturing or stem cell differentiation will be given preference (experience in neuroscience will be a plus).

Starting time: Spring 2022, Fall 2022.
