Introduction

NCERT is an apex organization for Teacher Training, Educational Research, and Development of Curriculum and Instructional material in school education and invites online applications. The positions are available at various academic posts under direct recruitment under NCERT, New Delhi, and at its other constituent units located at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, and Shillong.

Required Eligibility/Qualification:

Educational qualifications, experiences, age limit, and pay scales of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Librarian, and Assistant Librarian will be as per the Government of India norms. 

PROFESSOR

Eligibility (A or B): 

A.    An outstanding scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline and supported by published research work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in any university or college at the level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and research experience at an equivalent grade at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.

OR
B.  An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline from any reputed academic institution/industry, making a significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned field, supported by certificates/documentary evidence, provided they have ten years of experience.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Eligibility:

Master‘s degree obtained with at least 55% marks (or equivalent)
Ph.D. Degree in the relevant disciplines with an excellent academic record,
Experience: Minimum of eight (08) years of experience in teaching and/or research domain at a level of position equivalent to Assistant Professor in a University, College, or any Accredited Research Institution or industry with a min. of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Eligibility (A or B): 

A.    Master‘s degree obtained with 55% marks (or an equivalent) in a concerned subject from any reputed Indian University or an accredited foreign university.
B.     Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the potential candidate must have a National Eligibility Test (NET) certificate conducted by the UGC or CSIR or any similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET 
OR
C.    Ph. D. Degree by the UGC (Minimum Standards for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations.

PAY SCALES

Professor/Librarian: Academic level 14 - Entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/-  (Scale of pay : Rs.37,400-67,000 with AGP-10,000)
Associate Professor: Academic level 13A - Entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/- (Scale of pay : Rs.37,400-67,000 with AGP-9,000)
Assistant Professor/Assistant Librarian: Academic level 10 with rationalized entry pay of Rs.57,700/- (Scale of pay : Rs.15,600-39,100 with AGP-6,000)

Application Procedure

Application fee: Candidates belonging to OBC/UR/EWS must pay a fee of Rs.1000/- (One thousand only) through an online payment method. 
Note: 
1.    No other mode of payment is acceptable. Women aspirants and applicants belonging to SC/ST/PWD will be exempted from payment of fees.
2.    Only one application for a specific position from one applicant will be accepted.
The list of shortlisted candidates will be available on the NCERT website. The shortlisted contestants will be allowed to appear for the interview only after verification of their eligibility conditions.
